B is for...

well of course b is for becky, but what do i tell you about that? no one knows. b could be for bracelets, i always have four silver bangles on my right arm and two "friendship" bracelets on my left wrist. these were made for me by a fellow stylist (co-worker). she is such a funny girl. lots of sarcasm and sillieness. she is 40 and lives with just her cat. she suddenly remembered these bracelets from back in the day (when you would have them safety-pinned to your knee in junior high) and she asked someone how to make them and went buck-wild. she made everyone she knew at LEAST two.
b is also for books. i never really was a reader until harry potter came along. i DEVOURED those books. and i couldnt have normal adult conversations (without bringing up harry potter) for days afterward. when harry potter 7 came out i was excited but nostalgicly sad. it was a GREAT book, and then they were done. then my little sister introduced me to the series of FABLEHAVEN. these are really good books too. suddenly i became a reader. now i've been started on the TWILIGHT series by STEPHENIE MEYER. i'm only on the first book, like 2nd chapter, but so far so good. and i get IMMERSED. i never used to be able to do that with books. just another reason to love harry potter :)
b can also be for broken. just recently my palm pilot decided it didnt want to turn on anymore. the toad fiddled with it until he found that the battery just isnt keeping a charge. we charged it for nearly two days straight... nothing. so we may be ordering a new palm battery online soon... hmmm...:P
our other broken item really doesnt belong to us, but effects us. its our toilet. it makes a stuttering-water sound just barely the toad tried to flush to make the sound stop and it wouldnt flush. the chain that is hooked to the flusher and the plug thing was underneath and the whole chain is rotted and rusted. looks like i'm going to have to call the office...
lastly b is for blogs. they are actually pretty fun. i dont check them as often as i should, but when its night time, i wish i had something to do, someone to talk to. this is my outlet. the toad can sleep while i recount anything i want to for as long as i want. i really should sleep too...

How fun that you have become a reader. Lots of worlds in between the covers of a book, and some of the people in them get to be old friends. And when you are alone, and it is late at night, they are still there. They don't have to get up in the morning, don't care if you visit them when you are on the pot, don't care if the phone rings and you put them down. Lots of great things about them. I have been reading old authors lately. They take a lot more patience to read. Some times you think 'This is a book to read if I were in a blizzard or maybe in prison for several years'.

They take some time. They have a LOT of verbage and description. But if you can get into them, they also usually have wonderful character and story development. I particularly like Victor Hugo, who wrote 'Les Miserables', and now I am listening (cheater that I am )to 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame' (19 CDs). Love you much B-Girl

"B"logs should be public! Otherwise i can't use my RSS feed on it and I'll always forget to read it!

Please? :)

I get immersed too! sometimes it's really bad because if something bad has happened in the book, i can be a bit jumpy or on edge.
thanks for linking blogs. i like reading your thoughts.
