A is for Apartment

Big A little a what begins with a? aunt Allie's alligator, A A A... that was my FAVORITE book when i was little. Yes i began reading dictionaries at a young age. (Dr. Seuss's ABC Dictionary)
well today "A" is for apartment
we just moved. :( we WERE living in a nice 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath, 2-car-garage house, 20-something square feet, and paying VERY LITTLE rent, because we were house-sitting, now we have LESS THAN HALF the square-footage (is that how you say it?) and paying OVER TWICE the rent. back to reality eh? it isn't too bad though, now that the bathtub doesn't fill up to my shins by the time i rinse the shampoo from my head (which is the first thing i do) and that the water stays warm until I'm done (pretty much). our kitchen is small, and we don't have a dishwasher :( sad, but the Toad and i are getting pretty good at keeping up on the dishes. Toad also has made it EXTREMELY nice for me because he unpacked (or packed away) most of the boxes in the living room and all of the boxes in the kitchen. so it feels like we live here. it is VERY nice. third floor and hide-a-bed-couch (thank you those who helped) don't start with "A" but they were part of "a"partment experience. this particular one is not only sentimental to me but REALLY HEAVY. but everything is here, and fine. we are glad that some things could stay with my aunt, because we really don't have room! :)
A is also for avenues, where i work. it is an interesting place. a lot of people with money, who don't want to spend it so they come to our salon and treat us like they ARE spending it, a lot of hippies who( why they come for haircuts ever we'll never comprehend) get "just a trim", a lot of "transients"(that's the PC term for BUMS or HOMELESS people) who hang out at the liquor store next door, and a few extremely intoxicated guys who have been seeing too much of the liquor store and think they want their haircut. they are extremely "a"nnoying. :) so i have to call the "a"uthorities. but i like it there. i am an "a"ssistant manager. i've already witness someone getting fired, and several getting reprimanded. its a hard thing to see for me, because i want everyone to get along. at the same time, if they dont want to play nice, i dont want to either, so then it isnt so hard.
well i think my "a" section is done
